SOUTH AMERICA TOUR
09 May - 08 June 2005
Going to a strange country one doesn't always know what to
expect. We found it very interesting and sometimes
challenging. John did his upmost to make sure the group
all had a safe, trouble-free and enjoyable holiday.

This tour far surpassed all my previous expectations. It
envoked emotions in me that I shall not forget. Everybody
interacted well and we all looked out for each other, and I
am sure that many meaningful friendships were formed as a
result of this extremely successful tour. I highly
commend the staff at Campbell's World Travel for their
friendly and efficient service and their genuine interest
in their clients. Thanks for this unique and very special
experience!!

This was a great adventure which was everything we
expected. There were so many highlights with each day
adding something different to stimulate the mind. The real
list of highlights is too long to write! We are very
pleased we decided to go and are very interested in
travelling with you again - when's the next trip to some
interesting destination!?!

When I first saw this holiday advertised I thought
'this is for me'...it abosolutely fulfilled all
expectations. Especially as it was my first 'tour party'
experience it was a very good introduction to organised
travel.
Marie, New Plymouth
I've been on several different group tours but I think
this was the best. It didn't seem like a group tour
possibly because of the small number in the party.

SOUTH AFRICAN TOUR
23 August to 17 September 2003.
Communication was excellent. In meeting with fellow
travellers beforehand we established early friendships.
We were very happy at the tremendous variety of activities.
Perhaps in future an extra safari day rather than Knysna
lagoon trip. We just loved it all. It’s magic! Africa
gets into your blood. Thank you so much.

Well informed. The idea of inviting along a nurse to
discuss medical needs was very good. Very comprehensive,
well taken care of, and kept fully informed throughout.
Very good itinerary. I would have absolutely no hesitation
going on another tour led by John Campbell, every
confidence in his choices and organisation.
Kay Shearer, New Plymouth NZ
Very well informed. Meetings before tour excellent.
Very worthwhile (pre tour gatherings) especially regards
climates, clothes and health.
Enjoyed every minute. Excellent food and accommodation.
The plane flights could have been shorter! A trip of a
lifetime.

Good to get to know people (on information evenings).
Flight, Auckland/Johannesburg a bit long. Meals were too
good. Hotels all excellent, lots of interesting activities,
loved the animals. Wonderful trip, good company, fulfilled
my 50 year dream. This was Africa babe!
Elizabeth Davies, New Plymouth NZ
Enjoyed meeting other tour members. Could have had
lighter lunches with less time spent on them. Hotels
great especially Paara and Thysna. All activities
interesting – escorts all different, so each added
something different. Buses all good. Long lunches made
us less tired by the end of the day. Only up-set was
missing the step at Oudtshoorn! Never seen so many
elephants on TV as we saw at Addo.
Owen Davies, New Plymouth NZ
A dream for 20 years – it was worth the wait!
Organisation was splendid. John Campbell had really done
his homework and gave us an interesting and extensive
taste of South Africa. Short flights replaced long bus
journeys and we put on weight from incredible spreads a
mealtimes. Accommodation was excellent. We certainly
went at the right time of year – South African winter,
when it is cooler and the grass is low for game viewing.
Safety was premium. We didn’t need telling to stay in the
bus at sad Johannesburg, though at times we would have
loved to wander! Game parks Edeni, Kruger and Addo
Elephant park all exceeded our expectations.
At Edeni we saw a variety of animals, had close-up
encounters with the Big Five and a twilight distant
sighting of a cheetah family.
Our accommodation (in luxurious tents) was more than
comfortable and again exceeded our expectations.
Viva South Africa – viva John!
